With less than a week to go until the Africa Triathlon Championships Nelson Mandela Bay 2025, the excitement is building as top athletes from across the continent and beyond confirm their participation in this prestigious event, taking place on April 5th and 6th at Hobie Beach.

Elite triathletes from Africa, Europe, and beyond will converge on Nelson Mandela Bay to compete for continental titles and crucial international ranking points. Among them are past champions, Olympic hopefuls, and rising stars eager to showcase their talent in one of Africa’s premier triathlon venues.

The Championships will feature multiple categories, including elite men’s and women’s races, U23, junior, youth and age-group divisions, ensuring a competitive and diverse lineup of participants.
Adding to the significance of this year’s event, Mr Antonio Arimany (Secretary General of World Triathlon) will be in attendance to assess the city’s capabilities as a potential host for a World Cup Triathlon in 2026. This underscores the importance of the Championships not just for individual competitors but for the growth of triathlon in Africa as a whole.
