Puma has just released the latest edition of the well-received ForeverRun NITRO™, designed for comfort and stability to help runners go longer. This daily trainer offers plush cushioning without the bulk that can get in the way.
Traditional stability shoes restricted foot movement by adding structural limiters, often leading to discomfort. Thankfully, those days are behind us. Runners who pronate or supinate may find this improved model an even greater breath of fresh air.
The ForeverRun NITRO™ 2 features enhanced stability, increased heel support, and upgraded comfort. Here’s the technical lowdown:
A wider midsole made of improved dual-density NITROFOAM™ provides enhanced cushioning and support, while upgraded RUNGUIDE technology in the outsole helps keep your feet aligned and centered with every stride. This is key to a smooth and enjoyable running experience.
Additional TPU support, a 38mm heel stack, and a 10mm drop make the ForeverRun NITRO™ 2 feel more plush underfoot without adding unnecessary weight. This design, referred to as "calculated firmness," keeps your heel stable and supported through each foot strike—so you can run with confidence, even when fatigue sets in and your form starts to deteriorate.
A rolled heel collar and a premium-engineered knit upper reinforced with PWRTAPE enhance breathability and stretch while maintaining the durability needed for consistent performance.
As Puma’s design team explains: "Our goal was to provide runners with those two benefits without sacrificing the responsiveness they know and love about our NITROFOAM™. We achieved that through a new co-molded NITROFOAM™ innovation, combining a soft NITRO™ core for cushion and bounce with a firmer NITRO™ rim for guidance in their stride. This is topped off with a new knitted upper for comfort around the foot that fits like a dream."
