Introducing the New Balance 1080 version 13

Equipped with Fresh Foam X technology, this long-standing stalwart shoe was designed with a singular purpose - comfort.

Encompassing a spectrum of foam densities, with hardness ranging from 35 to 45 and densities of .12 to .15, these variations allow for a unique running experience in each model, with lower numbers indicating lighter, softer foam.

Fresh Foam X 1080 v13 is considered by New Balance to be the pinnacle of their running lineup, designed to deliver top-tier performance technology and accessibility for runners of all levels.

Cushioning: This is where the magic lies. Designed to deliver a smooth transition and supreme underfoot cushioning, the midsole foam and geometries deliver energy return bounce without losing forefoot stiffness. The soft Fresh Foam X (12/40 durometer) technology is suitable for neutral runners.

Modern Design: The updated 1080's upper construction provides a supportive and breathable fit with an engineered mesh upper, resulting in a streamlined design.

Versatile: Whether you're looking for an everyday training shoe or gearing up for a long or short fast paced run, the 1080 delivers comfort at a light enough shoe to race in at just 262 grams in men's and 206 grams in women's.

For a shoe with this much cushioning the numbers are surprisingly less aggressive than you’d imagine. Only a 6mm drop from a rear-foot stack height of 32mm and forefoot stack of 26mm is relatively low compared with less stable modern shoes that can reach well over the legal limit of 40mm for certain events.

Durable Outsole: The outsole features Ndurance and LWSR technology, providing longevity under the much softer midsole foam.

The New Balance 1080 is ideal for a neutral runner seeking optimal comfort in one shoe for multipurpose daily use.
